Eucalyptus has been used for centuries as an herbal remedy. It is an aromatic herb that stimulates the system. It is a decongestant and expectorant that relaxes spasms and lowers fever.  It is also an antiseptic which makes it good for wounds. This herb is valued for its capacity to heal bacterial infections, relieve spasms, reduce fevers, stimulate the body, induce expectoration and act as a deodorant.

It helps to dilate capillaries for better circulation making it a good herb for migraine headaches. A small amount on the tongue will help to stop nausea.

The leaves and extract produced from eucalyptus has been effectively used for typhoid fevers and stomach and other digestive conditions. Additionally, it was believed to be effective in painful urination, high mucous content in urine, recurrent bladder catarrh, strong coughs, emphysema, recurrent bronchitis, asthma with excessive secretion and laryngitis.

CAUTION: Only administer eucalyptus in small doses. People suffering from epilepsy and high blood pressure should avoid using eucalyptus essential oil.
