MULLEIN

Mullein has been used for centuries as an herbal remedy by Europeans and Native Americans alike. It is a narcotic that is not addictive or poisonous.

It is used for insomnia and as a pain killer. It helps expel mucous which is useful for treating all lung ailments. It also strengthens the lymphatic system. It is used to treat cough, bronchitis, asthma and skin inflammations.

Mullein is used externally as a poultice for swollen glands, stiff neck and mumps. The flowers steeped in oil are a good ointment for bruises and frostbite. Crushed leaves are applied for diaper rash.

CAUTION: Mullein can cause sedation.
